DIY Easter Bunny Frame

On March 18th is the international recycling day! And if we took advantage of this opportunity to give a new life to chocolate packaging? Le Comptoir de Mathilde offers you a creative and fun DIY to do with your family. Make a beautiful Easter frame, using wooden boxes of chocolate to break and napolitains. A perfect activity to prepare for Easter while raising awareness about recycling to young and old.

Materials

  • A wooden frame (chocolate to break, or napolitains, turbine …)
  • 1 sheet with patterns of your choice
  • 1 white sheet
  • Scissors, glue
  • Pencil, eraser, ruler
  • 1 pompom (or a bit of cotton or wool)

Step 1

Step 1 Easter bunny frame DIY

Draw a bunny silhouette on the patterned paper. Or print a template and trace the outlines on your patterned paper. For a 100% recycled look, you can use newspaper or old magazines instead of patterned paper.

Step 2

Step 2 Easter bunny frame DIY

Cut a white sheetframe :

  •          napolitains frame 12x18 cm
  •          chocolate to break frame 19.5x19.5 cm

Then place your white sheet in the frame to create a neutral background.

Step 3

Step 3 Easter bunny frame DIY

Glue your bunny in the center of the frame and add the final touch: glue the pompom on the bunny's tail. No pompom on hand? You can make one with wool or glue a piece of cotton.

For more fantasy, you can also paint the frame or stick felt chicks and Easter eggs, for example. Let your creativity run wild! Feel free to share your creations with us on social media using #lecomtoiredemathilde
