This salt is the result of a transportation that turned bad, indeed barrels of red wine were spilled on salt crystals, that what makes this fabulous Winemaker’s salt that are aptly named !
Formed more than 200 million years ago, this pure and virgin salt is also called “the Kings’ Salt” for its exceptional properties. It is said to be good for the heart and arteries, but also soothing for sensitive skins. Its balanced character, will exalt the flavours of numerous foods while preserving their taste.

It can be used as a flavoured Fleur de Sel”, on savoury dishes, before, during, or after cooking.

Knowing it better…. To enjoy it better: this fabulous pepper has the particularity to grow in creepers. Coming from humid tropical areas in Madagascar, the harvest can be done up to 20 meters high. A harvest made by hand, at the top of big trees.
A brown-red pepper with warm and powerful notes of hot bread, pastries, citrus fruits, spices and pineapple. Excellent with white meats, soups, marrow-bone, kidney, lamb, cooked salads, and anchovies... you can switch it with the black pepper.
How about its harvest? It’s made by picking the mature red fruits, this pepper is stronger than its mates. The preservation of its colour is obtained by soaking in a boiling and then freezing water at the end of the harvest.
